Inaugural Local Mission Trip 2016

From 2-9 January 2016, 19 SMSV members participated in SMSV’s inaugural Forgotten Communities Local Missions Project. Over the course of one week, we conducted simple BP screening for over 200 migrant workers as well as health screening for over 50 residents at St George’s Road. In addition, we helped out at Willing Hearts, taught 40 caregivers more about self-care, spent some time with the residents of JB Home for the Disabled and befriended many Chinese, Bangladeshi and Indian migrant workers. It was an amazing way to kickstart 2016!

Here’s a link to the photo album that captured some of the amazing moments during their journey!
