What we do
SMSV Outreach is committed to serving local and global communities through meaningful volunteering, health promotion, and medical outreach initiatives. Guided by our values of Consistency, Collaboration and Connection, we partner with organisations such as the Avalon Drop-In Centre to provide basic health screenings, health education, and community support. We also support overseas medical missions in Cambodia through A Call To Share (ACTS) organisation, working alongside healthcare professionals to deliver care to underserved communities.
Through direct interactions with community members, volunteers develop a deeper understanding of social and health disparities while making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve. Their involvement helps foster a culture of empathy, service, and civic responsibility within the medical student community.
